Girls Tennis Event

HBCU ELITE is excited to invite elementary and middle school girls to participate in the Love & Legacy: Girls Tennis Event on Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM at South Fulton Tennis Center.

This event is designed to introduce girls to the sport of tennis while exposing them to the HBCU experience through current HBCU women’s tennis players. Participants will receive on-court coaching, take part in a Q&A about attending an HBCU and being a student-athlete, and enjoy pictures, autographs, lunch, and an event T-shirt.

The purpose of Love & Legacy is to create a fun, empowering experience that builds confidence, introduces girls to a new sport, and allows them to see positive examples of HBCU women student-athletes.

2026 Midtown Flag Football Tryouts

Any students interested in Flag Football, workouts will begin Monday, May 4th and run through Thursday, May 7th, with additional sessions May 11th through May 13th. Tryouts will be held May 14th and May 15th.

All sessions will run from 3:45 PM to 5:15 PM.

Workouts and tryouts will take place at Henderson Stadium or Walden Athletic Complex, depending on field availability. If we are at Walden, athletes must report to the Red Steps before 3:45 PM to catch the bus — no exceptions.

To participate, you must have an up-to-date physical on file.

UPLOAD AND SIGN ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS!!!!!

Howard students can be transported to the field by a guardian after dismissal at 4:15 pm.

I hope all are well! Thanks to everyone that supported athletics throughout the year and/or attended an athletic event.

A big shoutout to our coaches, parent volunteers, student-athletes, teachers/staff, and administrators for a great school year.

We've reached the conclusion of the 2025-26 sports season. We will schedule a spring hardware walk in May. We're looking forward to the 2026-27 school year and welcoming our rising 6th graders. Well wishes to our 8th graders as they move on to high school! Keep putting in the work, stay on the grind, and get better every day!
