Reminder that Emory/ISSS will be closed this Friday, June 19 in observance of the Juneteenth holiday.

Should you experience an immigration emergency during the Friday closure/outside of our regular business hours of 8:30-5PM call the Emory Police Department at 404.727.6111 and their dispatcher will connect you with an ISSS staff member.

Due to upcoming renovations to the North Decatur building, ISSS has temporarily moved to the 1599 Clifton Road building.

During the transition to this temporary location, ISSS will continue to offer robust services to support Emory's international students and scholars, as well as their host departments.

For incoming international students starting this Fall who are interested in being matched with a current Emory student as a buddy, we will open the application for incoming students later in July.

The ISSS Buddy Program aims to connect Emory’s international students with their peers, facilitate a smoother transition to campus, foster a sense of belonging, and encourage cultural exchange, to enrich the Emory campus community.

Requirements of the program include:

-Attending an orientation

-Meeting with your buddy at least 2-3 times a month during the semester-long program.

-Filling out an end of semester evaluation

In this presentation, you will learn about various future immigration options for graduating F-1 and J-1 students and get your questions answered regarding employment in the US.
