Since 2007, the HIES Girl Talk club has been helping our students grow into confident leaders. We’re proud to be the host of Girl Talk Camp again this summer, where more than 100 girls from all over the United States gather to make friends, grow in confidence and learn how to inspire positive change. We are honored to host this camp for a wonderful organization for over ten years now that creates a community for so many young girls!

Congratulations to the third-grade class on their wonderful end-of-year theatre performance, "America is Beautiful!" The students took to the stage on Friday, May 15, celebrating the rich history of our country and honoring the dedication of our servicemen and women. Their confidence and hard work were evident throughout the performance, making it a memorable celebration, especially for the military veterans in attendance. Bravo, third-grade! We hope you have a meaningful Memorial Day, Golden Bears.

These fifth-grade graduates are headed off to Middle School! We wrapped up this season of celebration with yesterday's Fifth-Grade Honors Chapel. Each member of the Class of 2033 was celebrated for the contributions they've made to the Lower School, and we recognized some outstanding award winners. A special congratulations to Anna Klopman '33, the winner of this year's Alan A. Lewis Memorial Scholarship!

From leaders of the Primary School to the newest members of the Lower School, the Class of 2038 celebrated a milestone filled with joy and community. Surrounded by family and friends at their Kindergarten Moving Up Ceremony, our students marked the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. Following the ceremony, they took their first walk through the halls of the Lower School, where current first-grade students greeted them with smiles and excitement to officially welcome them to their new division. The fun continued with a playground picnic complete with pizza, popsicles, bubbles and unforgettable memories shared with classmates and teachers. We are so proud of the Class of 2038 and cannot wait to watch them grow in the years ahead!
