🔢✨ Number Match Fun!

During this one-on-one learning activity with our lead teacher, Ms. Whitney, she called out a number, and our little learner searched for and matched the correct number card. Simple activities like this build strong foundations for future math success while keeping learning engaging and interactive!

This activity helps develop:
🌟 Number recognition
🌟 Listening skills
🌟 Focus and attention
🌟 Memory and recall
🌟 Following directions
🌟 Confidence in early math concepts

One number at a time, our learners are building the skills they need to become confident problem-solvers. 💚

📚✨ There’s nothing quite like the moment a child reads a word all on their own for the very first time.

That tiny moment represents so much growth—letter recognition, sound awareness, confidence, and perseverance all coming together. 💚

We’d love to hear your story!

💬 What was the very first word your child read independently?

Share your answer in the comments and let’s celebrate those special milestones together. 🌟

🐥💥 EXPLODING CHICKS 💥🐥

Our little learners became scientists for the day as they watched their chicks “hatch” with a colorful fizzing reaction! Using baking soda and vinegar, children explored what happens when ingredients combine to create an exciting chemical reaction.

This hands-on activity helped encourage:
✨ Curiosity and wonder
✨ Sensory exploration
✨ Cause-and-effect thinking
✨ Early STEM learning
✨ Observation and prediction skills

There’s nothing quite like seeing a child’s face light up when science comes to life right before their eyes! At Learning Nest, we love creating meaningful experiences that spark imagination, discovery, and a lifelong love of learning. 💛

💚 Muffin-making is more than just a tasty treat—it’s a wonderful learning exercise for children ages 3–7!

Measuring ingredients builds early math skills, mixing strengthens fine motor development, and following simple steps encourages listening, focus, and problem-solving. Along the way, children learn patience, confidence, and the joy of creating something with their own hands.

And yes, there may be a little mess—but that’s often where the best learning happens. 🧁✨

Every scoop, stir, and sprinkle is helping your child grow while having fun.

💚 A reminder for every parent who needs to hear it today…

Growth doesn’t always look like worksheets, perfect behavior, or instant results.

Sometimes learning looks like asking for help.
Sometimes it looks like making mistakes.
Sometimes it looks like building, pretending, exploring, and yes—even making a mess.

Every question, every attempt, and every small moment is helping your child develop confidence, problem-solving skills, and a love for learning.

Trust the process. The little moments you’re witnessing today are becoming the big milestones of tomorrow. ✨

🌪️ Learning came to life during our storm lesson! 🌧️

Our little scientists explored how tornadoes form using a simple hands-on experiment with two bottles and water. By creating a swirling vortex, they were able to see a tornado-like motion right before their eyes!

Hands-on experiences help children connect big concepts to real-world observations, making learning exciting, memorable, and meaningful. Watching their curiosity grow as they predicted, observed, and discussed what was happening was the best part of all. 💙

At Learning Nest, we believe the best learning happens when children can see, touch, and explore for themselves.

"Number, Cup, Ball" is a fast-paced, multimodal learning game where the teacher calls out a number and children must quickly cover it with a cup. Play continues until "Ball" is called-then the first child to cover the ball wins the round. This activity builds early math skills, gross motor coordination, and hand-eye coordination through active, engaging play!

This playful challenge encouraged children to move their bodies, build coordination, and problem-solve as they worked to shake the feathers out of the bucket attached to their back.

At Learning Nest ATL, even the silliest moments become opportunities for active learning and confidence building through play.
Try this movement activity at home and see who can shake the feathers out
