Our Senior Director of Research, Evaluation & Program Impact, Lisa Belliston, recently toured the Asa Yancey Health Center at Grady Medical Center, the future home of our Kindergarten Readiness Initiative launching this summer. Through this initiative, we'll connect families with resources on developmental milestones and literacy tools to help children thrive from the very start.
A special thank you to Assistant Director of Literacy Support Chermaine Tolbert for providing literacy books and toys for 250 children and to our incredible team of partners from Grady Memorial Hospital, Atlanta Public Schools, United Way, Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning for helping to make it all possible.
Together, we're building a foundation for every child to succeed.

Child care providers are doing everything they can to keep their doors open but the math is getting harder. QCC's 2026 Provider Pulse Check found that many providers have already raised tuition, and more than 40% expect to raise rates again.
When providers can't sustain their programs, families lose options. And in Georgia, too many families are already living in areas with too few licensed child care slots to meet the need.
We're committed to understanding what providers are experiencing on the ground so we can advocate for real, lasting solutions. Because when providers thrive, children and families thrive too.
