Outstanding work by the 130 Harrison DECA members who qualified for State competition. 52 students moved on to State Finals and 25 qualified for the DECA International Career Development Conference taking place in late April in Atlanta, Georgia! Great Oaks Career Campuses

Ohio DECA Ohio DECA is a student organization dedicated to preparing emerging leaders and entreprenuers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management.

Could not be more proud of this group of kids. Always professional, respectful, and represent Great Oaks Harrison DECA to the highest level.

Today we competed in our DECA District 5 Competition and were very successful. Proud of ALL students for having the courage to compete and give their best regardless of the result. We have many moving on to the Ohio Career Development Conference to be held in February in Columbus, Ohio.

Huge shoutout to the custodial staff at the Harrison Activity Center, our awesome SRO Officer Canada, Mike Morris, Amy Miller, Justin Servis, the Administation from Great Oaks (Paul Lorenz) and Butler Tech. Thanks to our Ohio DECA Advisor, Drew Goldfinger, for supporting us today. Thanks to our four incredible Ohio DECA State Officers (Ohio DECA President Lanie Gehner and PR Officer Avery Dennis from Harrison, VP Aiden Johnson from Edgewood and VP Conner Hudak from Ross) for their assistance today.

Final shout-out to the AMAZING volunteers who helped set up, serve lunch, judge events, and help with the organization of the event. We could not do these events without your help!

We wrapped up 2025 by participating in our school district’s annual Food Drive.

With Halloween falling on the night of a home football playoff game, we pivoted our yearly Trick or Can event to collect cans of food at the game.

Then in December, Great Oaks Harrison DECA members helped move, sort and distribute food items to over 150 families throughout our community.

We look forward to 2026 and more opportunities to give back to the community that supports us!

We had 4 Harrison DECA students recognized as Top Performance in the Role Play Competition. Congrats to Lanie, Alex, Gabe and Lydia!
