In honor of my dear friend, mentor and big sister retiring after 31 years of service, I just HAVE to show you the caliber of work that first graders were doing TEN YEARS ago in her class! ❤️

These babies were too smart and it shows through their work. One can’t help comparing them to first graders in today’s classes.

With the pressures, expectations and work load in teachers and students, is this level of work still attainable?

This weekend I had the amazing opportunity to work, teach, and learn with SUPERHEROES !!! 💕

I was so blessed to surrounded by a team of “girl’s girls”. The ladies in this reel and so many others were so supportive and ready to help me whenever I needed it. They were my “ram in a bush” all day Saturday.💕

I was held up by so many women this weekend via text , calls and prayer. When I’m working, I can lock in so much that I disconnect but I’m thankful that they don’t care and make sure I’m good.💕

Happy Mother’s Day to my mama, my sister, my cousins and all of my friends. 💕ALL OF YOU MOTHER ME…💕 Thank you.💕🥹 To ALL who mother, I pray you feel celebrated if you want or left completely alone if you want! The world is yours today!💕

When I hear the words “learning through play” this is what I envision. After their sight word check in, they were able to “go fishing” for sight words! 🎣❤️🐠

Of course, fish means COOK so the Bigs created a whole fish fry, facilitated by ME!🤭🤭🤭

It really doesn’t get any better than , where play collides with intentional learning experiences that spark joy in the hearts of children. ❤️
