They are NOT the same.

👉 Solo hice ejercicio
= The only thing I did was exercise.

👉 Acabo de hacer ejercicio
= I just finished exercising.

One talks about the only activity you did.
The other talks about something you finished recently.

Small difference.
Big change in meaning.
