Greetings Parents,

We hope you all are having a fantastic Summer! We have six more weeks to enjoy it!

We wanted to go ahead and share the date for Open House for the 26-27 school year!

More specific information will come in July as we get closer to returning to school! See you soon!

The admin team took a tour of the school today! Wow it has been completely gutted for the first phase of construction.

Although this is a two year process, we are very excited for the outcome. All the behind the walls items being completed this summer like electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. Next summer will be an entire new interior with new furniture, floors etc.

The entrance will be completely new this year! It will be an exciting return to the school year. The construction team works day and night to ensure we are ready for back to school!

Another update will come in two weeks!🎉🦺

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Laura Neely and Dr. Neill O. Crosslin to their new roles as Area Superintendents for DeKalb County School District.

Approved by the DeKalb County Board of Education during its June 15 Regular Business Meeting, Dr. Neely will serve as Area 1 Superintendent and Dr. Crosslin will serve as Area 2 Superintendent.

Together, they bring decades of experience in educational leadership and a commitment to supporting student success across our schools.

Today, the APES administrative team and Building Leadership Team teachers enjoyed a productive leadership retreat focused on making important decisions and planning for the 26-27 school year.

We spent the day collaborating, sharing ideas, and working together to ensure the best possible experience for our students, staff, and families.

A special thank you to Michael Sussman and the Haven Insurance Group for being such gracious hosts allowing us to use their conference room for our retreat. Your generosity and support of our school community is greatly appreciated!

We are excited about the work ahead and look forward to another outstanding year at Ashford Park! 💚🦅

Congratulations to the Problem 3 Division 1 Odyssey of the Mind team from Ashford Park, they placed 5th at Odyssey of the Mind World Finals.

Ashford Park has competed consecutively for the past 8 years. We are looking forward to see what next year holds! We’re so proud of our 🦅 Eagles 🦅!

Fifth Grade Week was full of energy, slime, bounce houses, glow parties, and hats. We're so proud of these students and are excited for their next adventure to middle school! Congratulations, Eagles!

Congratulations to our Class of 2026 Eagles! The Senior Walk is such a special tradition and it was such an honor to see them walk through our halls one last time before heading off to college! We couldn’t be more proud! 🦅
