John B. Connally High School Band

Woohoo!!

🎵Congratulations to our high school musicians who represented Pflugerville ISD at the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest (TSSEC) over Memorial Day weekend! Students earned the opportunity to perform at the state level by receiving the highest rating at the regional competition earlier this year. Pflugerville ISD students brought home 39 Division I ratings, the highest rubric score awarded by the judges. 🎉

🏅 In addition, two students received the prestigious Outstanding Performer designation, one of the highest individual honors a Texas high school musician can achieve. Of the approximately 100,000 students statewide who participate in UIL solo contests at the regional level, only those who advance to state are eligible for Outstanding Performer recognition, and judges select just the top 1–3% of soloists for this distinction. Congratulations to James Rees from Hendrickson High School and Jared Garcia from Connally High School on this remarkable achievement! We are incredibly proud of all of our students who represented PfISD with excellence. ✨

Cougars!! Want to stay involved over the summer? Well our Open Band Hall days and Connally Conditioning Days are a great place to start! From practicing your music to working out with your friends, these days are a great tool to help you prepare for the upcoming marching season!
