📣 Event Recap: Meet the Employer with Austin Independent School District

On May 11th, we hosted another successful Meet the Employer event with Austin ISD, connecting district recruiters with students from our Paraeducator Certificate program and Internationally Trained Professionals with education backgrounds.

During the session, Miguel and Armando shared practical insights into the hiring process, tips for standing out as candidates for Teacher Assistant roles, and engaged students in meaningful discussions. Students gained firsthand guidance from experienced recruiters and had the chance to explore career pathways within the district.

Events like this continue to create impactful career connections as many of our students have successfully joined Austin ISD after participating in previous sessions, and we’re excited to continue building these pathways.

ACC’s Career Pathways is offering hands-on certificate programs designed to build real-world skills.

The HVAC Certificate Program provides training in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, including safety, tools, and system fundamentals, with the opportunity to take the EPA Universal Exam.

The Accounting Certificate Program teaches practical accounting and bookkeeping skills for business and finance, along with the chance to earn QuickBooks Online Certification.
