What a wonderful day celebrating our Pre-K graduates! 🎓✨

On Friday, we gathered together for a fun-filled graduation celebration complete with a potluck, cupcakes, bubbles, crafts, and lots of smiles. It was a beautiful day spent with our amazing families as we celebrated all the growth, learning, friendships, and memories made this year.

We are so proud of our graduates and all they have accomplished. Watching these kiddos grow into confident, curious, and kind little humans has been such a joy.

Congratulations, graduates! We can't wait to see all the amazing things you'll do in Kindergarten and beyond. ❤️⭐🎓🌿

Childcare Is Expensive... Expense or Investment? Concerns vs. Truths Revealed!

We know childcare is a major investment for families. It’s one of the biggest decisions parents make — emotionally and financially. And if a family doesn’t necessarily need childcare, it’s fair to wonder… is it worth the cost?

Over the years, we’ve given many tours and met so many wonderful families, and we’re often asked some of the same questions. So today, we wanted to answer a few of them here. 😊

Concern: Why does childcare cost so much?

Truth: Quality childcare includes finding the right teachers and paying them fair wages, maintaining a safe and nurturing environment, providing nutritious snacks, meeting licensing requirements, and creating enriching learning experiences for children. At Mama Melli Childcare Center, we also intentionally keep our ratios low so each child can receive the individualized care and attention they deserve.

Concern: We don’t necessarily NEED childcare, so will my child really benefit from it at this age? Is it worth the extra cost?

Truth: Early childhood experiences help shape confidence, independence, communication skills, emotional regulation, and school readiness. Childcare also gives children opportunities to experience routine, problem-solving, friendships, conflict resolution, and the love and support of trusted adults outside of their family. During these early years, a child’s brain is developing rapidly, and these experiences can help shape who they are becoming.

Enrolling your child in childcare is not always easy, but when you find the right fit for your child and your family, it can create a foundation for lifelong learning, confidence, and connection.

Our kiddos loved watching the transformation from caterpillar to butterfly, and seeing their smiles during the release made the moment even more special. Hands-on learning, wonder, and a little bit of magic all in one day. 💛❤️⭐
