Texas voters are giving legislators two messages at once.
They recognize the progress made after years of transportation investment. A slight majority say they’re satisfied with roads, highways, and bridges statewide.
At the same time, nearly 70% expect transportation and traffic to get worse over the next ten years if Texas falls behind.
The work has paid off. Now the state has to keep up.
Texas Infrastructure Now
Working to keep Texas moving with safer roads, stronger bridges, and long-term infrastructure investment. Better infrastructure. A brighter future. Adv.
Infrastructure is the very foundation —literally — of Texas. It is our roads and the pipes, wells and towers that bring water to our homes. The same way we maintain the infrastructure of our homes to ensure that wear and tear does not create significant problems and costs in the future, Texas’ infrastructure must be maintained and upgraded so that we are not left to suffer the consequences of “str
A little more than a decade after Texans approved Props 1 and 7 to put more resources into roads and highways, voters can see the difference.
A slight majority now say they’re satisfied with the state’s roads, highways, and bridges.
But Texas has not stopped growing. 68% of voters expect transportation and traffic to get worse over the next decade if investment does not keep pace.
Progress is real. So is the pressure ahead.

Texas is growing fast, and the demand on our roads and bridges is growing with it.
Recent polling found 68% of voters expect roads and traffic to worsen without continued investment. Texans understand the challenge ahead: growth is a strength, but keeping up takes planning.
Texas keeps moving when infrastructure keeps up.

Texas roads carry a lot more than cars.
They move equipment, materials, freight, workers, goods, food, and families across the state every single day.
That’s why voters support dedicating more existing vehicle sales tax revenue to transportation infrastructure. Texans understand roads and bridges are tied directly to economic growth, daily life, and keeping the state moving efficiently.

Today, we remember the Americans and Allied forces who took part in the D-Day landings on June 6, 1944, and honor those who gave their lives in service during one of history’s most consequential moments.
Their courage, duty, and sacrifice changed the course of history and will never be forgotten.

Texans can see how fast the state is growing, and they understand what comes with it.
More people. More traffic. More strain on roads and bridges that already carry enormous demand every day.
More than two-thirds of voters expect transportation and traffic to worsen over the next decade if infrastructure investment falls behind growth.
Texans understand planning ahead costs less than playing catch-up later.

Nobody likes sitting in traffic near a construction zone.
But Texans also understand the alternative is falling behind.
88% of voters believe maintaining roads and adding capacity is worth temporary closures and delays if it leads to safer roads, reduced congestion, and stronger infrastructure long-term.

Texas keeps growing and daily life still depends on roads and bridges working the way they should.
School drop-offs. Grocery runs. Commutes. Weekend travel. Most Texans experience the impact of congestion and road conditions firsthand, not in a policy debate, but in everyday life.
That’s one reason voters continue to support investing in infrastructure that keeps Texas moving.
Every Texan feels the impact of infrastructure, whether it’s time lost in traffic, rising vehicle repair costs, or unsafe road conditions caused by growing demand and aging roads.
As federal lawmakers negotiate the next transportation package, this is the moment to invest in the infrastructure that supports Texas families, businesses, and economic growth. Waiting only makes the challenges more expensive to solve.
