Holiday Closure Notice

In observance of Juneteenth, William's School Summer Program will be closed on Friday, June 19.

Juneteenth is proof that delayed freedom is not denied purpose. We honor the past by making sure no one in our care is left behind, unheard, or unseen.

We will resume our regular summer program schedule on Monday, June 22.

Field Day is always a favorite at William's School, and this year's event was extra special thanks to our incredible partners at Charles Schwab! Even though we battled with unplanned rainy weather, the team pivoted quickly and brought the energy anyway and the photos below show the proof of this!🎉

For the third year in a row, the Charles Schwab volunteer team brought their energy, enthusiasm, and dedication to help create an unforgettable day for our students. With more than 20 volunteers supporting activities, setup, and cleanup, our students enjoyed a fun-filled day of games, movement, and connection while our staff had the opportunity to fully participate alongside them.

We are so grateful for this partnership and the commitment Charles Schwab continues to show to our school community. Their volunteers not only helped make the day run smoothly, but also took the time to learn about our mission and the importance of the work we do every day.

Thank you, Charles Schwab, for investing your time, talent, and heart into our students. We are honored to partner with an organization that values community impact and meaningful connections. We are already looking forward to next year!

☀️ Summer Camp Week 1 Recap! ☀️

What a fantastic start to summer camp!

This week, our campers enjoyed:
⭐ Meeting new friends
⭐ Outdoor adventures on the playground
⭐ Creative pretend play
⭐ A fun-filled pool day
⭐ Engaging summer classroom themes and activities

From laughter and friendship to hands-on learning and exciting new experiences, Week 1 was filled with smiles and memorable moments. Our campers jumped right into the fun while building social skills, confidence, and connections with their peers.

Our PK Garden Theme in April was full of growth—in more ways than one! 🌱🌼

Students explored planting, nature, and the environment through hands-on, multi-sensory activities that incorporated language, motor, and social skills. Watching our students learn, explore, and connect with the world around them was a joy!

A special thank you to the moms who so selflessly give their love, time, strength, and support each and every day. Your dedication does not go unnoticed, and we are so grateful for all that you do for your children and our school community.

On Friday, we were honored to celebrate these amazing women at our First Annual Muffins for Moms event! 🧁💕 Thank you to all of the moms, grandmas, and special guests who joined us and made the day so meaningful and special.

We also want to give a huge shoutout to our Student Special Events Committee for all of their hard work behind the scenes to make this event possible. We couldn’t have done it without you!

April brought smiles and bright learning moments with our Dental Health Theme in PK! 🦷✨

Students engaged in hands-on, multi-sensory activities that supported communication, fine motor development, and self-help skills—all while learning about healthy habits and taking care of their teeth.

Learning is always more impactful when it’s interactive, and our students truly shined during this theme! 😁

William’s School was proud to participate as a vendor in the Autism Society of Texas annual walk! 💙

It was an incredible day connecting with the Autism Society of Texas, collaborating with local providers, and sharing resources with families in our community. Events like this highlight the power of partnership and the importance of supporting individuals with autism together.

We were excited to welcome the Austin EMS and Austin Fire Department to our campus! 🚑🚒

Students had the opportunity to explore emergency vehicles up close and meet the incredible first responders who serve our community. Experiences like this help build social understanding, communication skills, and real-world connections in a fun and engaging way.
