Today, we recognize Juneteenth.

commemorates June 19, 1865, when news of emancipation reached enslaved people in Texas. It is a day to reflect on our nation's history, honor resilience and freedom, and recognize the ongoing importance of dignity, opportunity, and belonging for all.

At LeadingAge Texas, we honor this day by reflecting on its significance and the diverse communities that help strengthen aging services across our state.
