Before she was able to walk the stage to accept her McCombs degree, Savitha Shan met a tragic end as a victim of the March 1 mass shooting in Austin. Her parents have established the Savitha Shan Endowed Scholarship to help inspire other students to achieve the dream she wasn't able to complete. Bradley Staats Appointed Dean of McCombs School of Business He will begin his appointment on July 1, succeeding Lillian Mills, who has served as dean since 2020 and will return to the Shulkin Department of Accounting as a distinguished faculty member.
