Last night, the Del Valle ISD Board of Trustees named Melissa Arely Kender as the new principal of Hornsby-Dunlap Elementary School. Ms. Kender brings a strong background in bilingual education, instructional leadership, and student support, along with a passion for building positive, inclusive learning environments for all students.

We also welcome Sage Cavazos as the campus’s new assistant principal as he joins the leadership team alongside Mamie Ramos.

We are excited for the future of Hornsby-Dunlap and look forward to introducing families to the new team soon!
