It’s going to be a scorcher today. Because our dogs aren’t acclimated to the heat, afternoon classes are canceled starting with the 12:30pm class. It was already 80 at 9am!

Summer Workshop Series

OSCD's Annual Workshop Series starts this month, indoors at Sue Marshall Arena. Each workshop is limited to five teams and they will run for two hours. Cost is $75 per team. You can find the topics below. If you are interested please DM me to register.

June 20th
8:00am-10:00am
Adding Distractions
In this workshop we will work through distractions as we enter, run, and exit the gate/course. I will add appropriate level distractions for each team, while building solid focus through reinforcement and play. This workshop is appropriate for all teams (dog and/or human) who lose focus and/or engagement in busier conditions or struggle with entry and exit of the arena.

June 20th
10:15am- 12:15pm
Skill Building
In this workshop we will focus on trained skills and proofing the skills we have already built. Think startline forward focus, lateral sends, countermotion commitment, threadles, backsides, etc. This workshop is appropriate for all levels of teams who want to level up their trained skills.

Freddie’s Field users, besides the new contacts, we added another essential feature this year, an air quality sensor. Now you can check the air quality at the field before heading out. We are close enough to the BAAD arena that you can use it before coming to your practice as well.
With the mild winter and dry conditions it is predicted to be a smoky season.
