Did you know that the BASD offers FREE summer meals for all children at locations throughout the city? For many Governor Wolf families, the closest site is East Hills Middle School. Beginning this Monday, children can stop by between 12:00 and 1:00 p.m. to receive lunch.

Last Friday, we welcomed back a very special group of visitors—graduating seniors who once walked the halls of Governor Wolf. 💚💛

As part of the Senior Walk tradition, they returned to their elementary school, and it was such a joy for our teachers and staff to see so many familiar faces all grown up. Our students loved lining the halls and cheering them on.

And just think—seven years from now, this year's fifth graders will be making that very same walk through Governor Wolf's halls! 🎓😭

El viernes pasado, recibimos de regreso a un grupo muy especial de visitantes: estudiantes de último año que alguna vez caminaron por los pasillos de Governor Wolf. 💚💛

Como parte de la tradición del “Senior Walk”, regresaron a su escuela primaria, y fue una gran alegría para nuestros maestros y personal ver tantas caras conocidas ya convertidas en adultos. A nuestros estudiantes les encantó hacer fila en los pasillos y aplaudirlos.

Y piensen en esto: ¡dentro de siete años, los estudiantes de quinto grado de este año estarán haciendo ese mismo recorrido por los pasillos de Governor Wolf! 🎓😭

Governor Wolf families, stop by the school for this month’s FREE Farmers Market from 3 to 5 p.m. today. Each GW family is welcome to take one bag of fresh produce generously donated by the Garden Gatherers. We will hold markets in July and August, too, so stay tuned for times.

What better way to celebrate the last week of school than with a giant water slide? Thanks to your support throughout the year, the PTA was able to help make these end-of-year celebrations extra memorable for our students.

Anyone leave this at Friday’s Summer Kickoff at the school? It was found on one of the tables, and we’ll leave it in the front office.

We had the best time after school yesterday! 🥰 We loved celebrating the end of the school year with all the GW families and friends who came out to the Summer Kickoff Celebration on such a gorgeous day. And thank you to all the businesses and community organizations that shared fun activities and goodies at their tables and contributed to our Ultimate Summer Fun Basket raffle, as well as Kim Einsla for painting beautiful designs on so many faces. And thanks to our high school volunteers! We are so grateful to have the support of all of you!
