🎉🎊🎉Today we celebrate two extraordinary educators, Ms. Tania Todd, and Mrs. Hedi Taylor, as they begin a well-deserved retirement journey!

After years of inspiring young minds, creating meaningful learning experiences, and making a lasting difference in the lives of countless students, these two super teachers are closing one chapter and beginning an exciting new one.

Their dedication, compassion, patience, and unwavering commitment to education have left an incredible legacy that will continue to impact generations to come. They have been mentors, role models, mothers, encouragers, and champions for every child who walked through their classroom doors.

While we will miss their daily presence, we are grateful for the countless memories, lessons, and lives they have touched throughout their careers.

Exceptional Congrats to Dr. Wilson, our dedicated school librarian. She has written and published 5 books. She will be reading her books at Center Point Public Library on Saturday, June 6th@10 am. Bring your kids for a fun day of reading. Dr. Wilson is more than a keeper of books, she is a builder of dreams, imagination, and lifelong readers. By day, she inspires students to explore new worlds through reading, and as a children’s book author, she creates stories that encourage, empower, and uplift young minds. Her passion for literacy is helping children discover the magic, joy, and power found within the pages of a book.

Last week, Sun Valley Elementary proudly hosted the 2nd Annual Extra Mile Awards Ceremony. This special event was conceived and organized by Mr. Ellison (5th Grade Teacher) with the assistance of Mrs. Holt . Mrs. Moore, and Coach McCants.
During the ceremony, students were recognized for their participation and achievements in the All-City Choir, Spelling Bee, Math Derby, Academic Bowl, Chess Team, Cheerleading, Girls’ and Boys’ Basketball Teams, and Girls’ and Boys’ Newcomb Teams. Students arrived dressed for SUCCESS, making the event even more memorable and inspiring.
The program was a tremendous success and served as a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the hard work, dedication, and accomplishments of our students. Special kudos to Mr. Ellison for his vision and leadership in organizing such a meaningful event that shines a spotlight on the excellence of our Sun Valley students.
