Meet Justin Duncan, our Student of the Month! Justin is a 2nd semester BSN student from Bessemer, Alabama.

He shares, "One piece of advice I wish someone had given me on my first day at UAB would be to find the lesson in everything. Every class and every exam serves a purpose. Use your classes as opportunities to evaluate your strengths and weaknesses, both academically and personally. As difficult as my nursing prerequisites were, without that rigor, I wouldn’t have learned how I study, how to balance school while still making time for the things I enjoy, or even how to navigate networking with professors. We all have areas where we can grow, so take advantage of every opportunity to do so."
