AN UPDATE ON THE ARABIAN HORSES IN WAR-TORN UKRAINE

There has been another bombing at the Equestrian Center in Ukraine. Please see the comments for video of the most recent bombing. Three more horses were lost and many more injured.

The Arabian Coalition, LLC. has been fortunate to develop an excellent relationship with Dr. Tetiana Ilnytska, the President of Ukrainian Horse Breeders Association (UHBA), the official Arabian Horse Registry of Ukraine. Their needs to feed and provide emergency medical care for the remaining Arabian horses are dire.

Do not look away from the pain and destruction caused by endless, illegitimate wars. These wars cost lives, destruction to culture, and devastation beyond comprehension.

For centuries the horse has been deeply embedded in the souls and culture of the Ukrainian people representing resilience and hope. It is by design purposeful drone strikes targeting equine facilities have been prioritized by the Russian army as a way to break the very spirit of the Ukrainian people.

The breeding stock and athletes stolen by the horrors of this war can never be replaced, but all is not lost and there is something even the least among us can do to fill the hearts of Ukrainians with hope by providing assistance for the remaining Arabian horses.

We each have an opportunity to be a part of the change we wish to see in this world. The Ukrainian Horse Breeders Association, the official Arabian horse registry of Ukraine, is requesting donations to go directly to providing grain, hay and emergency medical supplies for the remaining Arabian horses.

Please consider a personal donation to provide hay and grain. All donations will go directly to the horses with zero dollars funding administrative costs. We will be providing links soon to veterinary supply companies in Ukraine that are able to get supplies to the horses directly without the challenges of customs and transport if we send from other countries. The Golden Years of the Arabian Horse: ZODIAC MATADOR+
This multi-National Champion Park horse became the standard for high-performance purebred Arabians as well as one of the most influential sires of performance offspring in the breed. Zodiac Matador was sired by the legendary stallion *Bask and out of RO Fanciray by Rabol) he was bred by Thomas and Judith West. The great stallion was owned by a number of fortunate breeders. He was the 1984 Canadian National Champion Park Horse and U.S. National Champion Park Horse in both 1985 and 1987. He has over 500 registered purebred and half-Arabian offspring and over 1400 second generation offspring. Not only was he a National Champion, he was also the sire of multiple generations of National Champions and National Champion producers.
