This week at Leap Ahead we have been learning all about sailboats and wind!
The week was packed with hands-on fun as we made foil boats, experimented with balloons, blew bubbles, blew tissue squares in a tent with a leaf blower, tested how wind moves objects, and explored how sailboats use the power of the wind to travel across the water. The children loved predicting, experimenting, and discovering through play!

At Leap Ahead Preschool, we let the children do as much of the gardening themselves as possible because real learning comes from doing. The children didn’t just watch the garden get planted… they planted it themselves.
When children are trusted with real work, they rise to it. Kids learn so much when we slow down, step back, and let them try. Gardening is so much more than planting flowers and vegetables. It’s teamwork, responsibility, sensory learning, confidence building, problem solving, and joy.
