What does it mean to be an educator in the age of AI? 🤔

Join us July 24th for Human + AI: Redefining the Role of the Educator — a free panel conversation and networking reception at Northeastern's ISEC in Boston, hosted by CPS and the Graduate School of Education.

We've got an incredible group of panelists spanning K–12, higher ed, and library science, moderated by Northeastern's own AI Fellow Dan Serig, Ed.D. It's going to be a great conversation — and a great room to be in.

📅 Friday, July 24 | 3:00–6:15 PM | ISEC, 805 Columbus Ave, Boston

🎟️ Free — registration required, click here: https://eventregistration.northeastern.edu/event/6de9222b-b7d3-4725-b2aa-253eb47abf04/details?RefId=EML-IN

The stages looked a little different in every city. The pride looked exactly the same. 🎓

This spring, the Northeastern University College of Professional Studies held commencement ceremonies across our global campus network — from the East Coast to the Pacific Northwest, from the Southeast to Canada -- celebrating graduates who earned their degrees while continuing to show up for their careers, their families, and their communities.

These aren't traditional students. They're working professionals, mid-career leaders, and lifelong learners who chose to invest in themselves — and crossed the finish line anyway.

Congratulations, Class of 2026. From every corner of our network — we are so proud of you.

"The degree is the smallest thing you are leaving with."

Casandra Onwuocha came to Northeastern CPS from Nigeria with ambition and a mission. She's graduating with her MS in Project Management — and a startup launching this fall, a Laurel and Scroll honor, and a CPS Student Ambassador title to go with it.

Mariah Silva has spent this past year as both a CPS staff member and a CPS student — learning something in class on Tuesday and applying it at work by Friday.

She created two student engagement programs, mentored 100 students, completed coursework from hospital waiting rooms, and crossed the stage with her MS in Nonprofit Management alongside the very students she supports.

"Saying yes to education is never the wrong choice." We couldn't agree more, Mariah. 💙 Read her story → https://cps.northeastern.edu/story/graduate-of-cps-mariah-silva/

Schuyler Wijsen joined CPS through its partnership with Boston Ballet — and what started as a practical solution became something he describes as one of the most intellectually formative experiences of his life.

His capstone brought together law, linguistics, sociology, and feminist theory to examine political rhetoric and public health. That's not something any single major produces. That's interdisciplinary thinking at its best.

Congratulations, Schuyler — and congratulations to the whole Boston Ballet cohort! 🩰🎓 → https://cps.northeastern.edu/story/graduate-of-cps-schuyler-wijsen/

Meet Sonia Harney, one of our Spring '26 graduates! 🎉

Sonia earned her BS in Project Management while working, writing for the Northeastern Political Review, becoming the first-ever Network Connector for students in Toronto, and traveling across 48 states and 30 countries. She called her path "untraditional" — then decided to reframe it as "exciting and different." We think she got that exactly right.

We can't wait to see what she does next. Read her story → https://cps.northeastern.edu/story/graduate-of-cps-sonia-harney/

"Not every path to a degree is a straight line — but its the twists and turns that make the journey worthwhile. 💙

Benjamin came to CPS after the pandemic reshaped his life and priorities. He'd never finished college. Mental health challenges had gotten in the way. With encouragement from a friend and support from the CPS community, he did what he'd doubted was possible: he graduated with a BS in Psychology, Spring '26.

His advice? Ask for help. Trust yourself. Don't wait for people to ask what you're learning. Read more → https://cps.northeastern.edu/story/graduate-of-cps-benjamin-robert-graves/

Did you catch Episode 12 of Just Jared? 🎙️

If not — first, go listen. It's a real conversation about caregiving, wellness, and what it looks like when a community actually shows up for the people doing the hardest work.

And second: our guest Alex Drane from ARCHANGELS created this for the CPS community — a caregiving horoscope that gives you a Caregiver Intensity Score based on your zodiac sign. It's unscientific, completely resonant, and a little too accurate. 🌟
