The Leducq Foundation has awarded Drs. Antreas Charidimou of Boston University and Marcel Verbeek of Radboud university medical center (Nijmegen, The Netherlands) an International Networks of Excellence Program award.
This $9 million, five-year grant will support their project, “Translational Framework For Innovation in Cerebral amyloid angiopathy (TRAFFIC).”

June is National Aphasia Awareness month.
And this year, Governor Healey signed a proclamation officially recognizing June 2026 as National Aphasia Awareness Month in Massachusetts.
This effort was initially conceived by the National Aphasia Association, Inc. (NAA) and catalyzed by local advocates, NAA Ambassadors, and the BU Aphasia Resource Center in order to increase public awareness and reduce stigma.
