During the summer, Melinda visited our friends at Phutung Research Institute in Nepal. Melinda, who formerly worked as a Battery Regulation & Recycling Manager at Ferrari, supported the team with optimizing the power management of the WAS device. She wanted to contribute to the community in Nepal by putting her exceptional engineering skills to practice. Both PRI and ourselves are incredibly grateful to receive this kind of support.

Recently Mahip, who works as an Electronics Engineer at NIC, got the opportunity to Pitch the "Nyano Nani"-Project to a jury of professional investors. He explained the product, the market and the potential of the project. Mahip left the investors impressed with his great pitch deck, market analysis and roadmap. We are happy that we were able to make this pitch happen as we believe that receiving feedback and spreading the message is a crucial part of making a project truly successful. We look forward to many more opportunities to present our projects!

Recently we had the honour to present our medical drone project at a stakeholder conference in Nepal. The event was hosted by the Ministry of Health of the Government of Nepal and ‘NAXA’. We received incredibly valuable feedback from various stakeholders like drone manufacturers, the government, and NGOs. Because the government was impressed by our presentation, they showed ambitions to support drone projects in Nepal to increase medical care in rural regions of the country. We are excited to have the support and cannot wait to be part of the first pilot project soon.

Kathmandu Institute of Applied Sciences is a nonprofit research institute, specializing in various scientific-analytical studies and the active development of new devices and products that they believe can compete with the global market. Most of them have already completed the R&D phase and we would love to help to bring them to market. We have agreed to map out possible projects and collaborations in which Diyalo’s expertise could be a great support for KIAS. Stay tuned for further updates on our collaboration.
