East St. Louis is turning a contaminated Alcoa site into a 15-megawatt community solar farm. 2,000 low income residents will get clean energy for a $50 yearly subscription. Another 1,000 residents could save up to half on their electric bills.

The same administration that says it wants to cut government spending is paying nearly $800 million to an oil company to not build clean energy. Just a handshake to wipe out offshore wind on your dime.
Wind turbines shutting down in extreme weather isn’t a failure. It’s the same concept as a circuit breaker. Protect the equipment, come back online when it’s safe. But “turbine works exactly as designed” doesn’t get the same clicks.

EVs are getting cheaper and gas is getting more volatile. The war in Iran is driving fuel prices up and creating shortages all over the world. The countries going electric are doing it because it's cheaper and more stable.

The DOE is about to issue another 90-day emergency order to keep this coal plant running. The plant physically cannot run for the entire duration of that order. They're mandating electricity from a facility that cannot produce electricity.
Inflation hit 4.2% in May, the highest in three years. Energy prices jumped 3.9% in a single month and are up 23.5% over the past year. Americans are feeling it at the pump, on their energy bills, and at the grocery store.
