Today, we honor Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates the resilience, strength, and contributions of Black Americans throughout history.

At Nativity Prep Boston, we are committed to fostering a community rooted in learning, respect, and opportunity for all. As we honor this day, we reflect on our shared history and the ongoing pursuit of equity and justice.

May this day inspire reflection, learning, and action as we honor the past and build a brighter future together.

Congratulations to the Class of Mveng, our newest alumni!

I think it’s fair to say the spirit was DEFINITELY in the building last week! Spirit Week at Nativity brought all the energy, from twin day and wacky outfits to friendly competitions during morning assembly all week long.

Huge shoutout to all of the faculty & staff who helped organize, lead, and support the week’s events. We had an amazing time making memories together! And congratulations to the 7th Grade Class of Ellacuría for being this year’s Spirit Week winners 🏆👏

Today, we pause to remember the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country, men and women whose courage, selflessness, and dedication will never be forgotten.

Their legacy lives on through the gratitude we carry and the lives we strive to lead with kindness, unity, and respect.

Honoring their memory today and always.

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, we’d like to highlight Ms. Castagno as the 2026 recipient of the Barbara Henry Courage In Teaching Award!

Named for Barbara Henry, a native of West Roxbury, MA, who bravely taught Ruby Bridges during school desegregation in Louisiana in 1960, this award honors educators who do what’s right for students, even when it isn’t easy.

Ms. Castagno leads with consistency, care, and a deep sense of responsibility to her students and their families. She shows up every day focused on what matters most, and her impact is felt across the entire school community.

We’re grateful for all she does and proud to see her recognized in this meaningful way. Congratulations, Ms. Castagno!
