UPDATE MAJOR KEY ALERT ‼️

with our summer kickoff, just a little under a week away we’ve had some major updates to our event. We have secured a barber who is willing to give free haircuts to families who show up with their young kids. We also wanted to highlight that this event is completely tailored around friends and families and young children. There’s going to be face painting bubbles, and haircut free for all kids that show up with their mom or dad keep in mind. This event is open to everybody, including Year Up United, Alumni, friends, families, cousins, aunties, uncles brothers sisters. This is all about the families and all about the Alumni. I support their families come unwind and relax in the backyard and Randolph, Massachusetts. See you there.

Tenacity and Year Up United Boston Alumni are excited to share an upcoming volunteer opportunity taking place on Tuesday, June 23rd from 3:30–5:30 PM at Moakley Park.

We invite you to join us for a community clean-up day focused on giving back, building community connections, and supporting a shared commitment to service.

This event also supports the USTA Foundation’s Realize the Dream pledge, a nationwide initiative inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy. The campaign aims to reach 100 million volunteer service hours by Dr. King’s 100th birthday in 2029.

We encourage everyone to participate and welcome you to share this opportunity with friends, family, and colleagues who may be interested in volunteering alongside us.

This Summer Kickoff event is an opportunity for alumni, supporters, and friends of the Year Up United community to come together, reconnect, and build stronger relationships across our Boston network.

Whether you are a recent graduate or a longtime alumnus, this gathering is designed to celebrate our shared journey, strengthen alumni engagement, and create new opportunities for collaboration.

Expect great conversations, networking, summer vibes, and a chance to learn more about upcoming alumni initiatives, volunteer opportunities, and events planned for the season.

Come join us June 3 from 5:30 to 6:30 PM at 45 Milk St. downtown Boston for the national week of service this year. We are putting together non-perishable food care packages in conjunction with restoration city Church in Roxbury.
