The world students are entering looks nothing like the one that came before it. Every industry is being reshaped by technology and AI, and the pace isn't slowing down. The question for any business school isn't whether to respond. It's whether the response is deep enough to actually matter.

MBA Program Chair Tsedal Neeley believes it has to start with the student—with where they're headed, what they'll need when they get there, and the mindset, toolsets, and skill sets that separate those who are ready from those who aren't. HBS is building toward that. Adaptive programs. World-class faculty. Platforms and content designed for a marketplace that doesn't stand still. The opportunity ahead is real—and it belongs to those most prepared to meet it.

Prevent Team Friction from Turning into Dysfunction 06/24/2026

The strongest teams don’t succeed because they avoid conflict—they succeed because they understand how teammates process information, communicate under pressure, and approach decisions differently.

Drawing on a redesign of HBS’s FIELD Global Immersion program, HBS Professors Leonard A. Schlesinger and Joseph Fuller argue that “interpersonal competence” is a learnable capability that helps teams anticipate and navigate cognitive differences before they become performance problems. After introducing training and tools designed to build that capability, the number of student teams requiring faculty intervention for serious collaboration breakdowns fell from 45 to one.

Why midterm elections matter to business | Institute for Business in Global Society 06/21/2026

US midterm elections don't get the same attention from media or voters as presidential contests, but this year's races have enormous implications for business.

A flip in party control of one or both chambers of Congress would impose a roadblock to executive actions. HBS Professor Vincent Pons, who has done extensive research on voters and voting, talked to Institute for Business in Global Society (BiGS) about why this year’s election is so consequential.
