We’ve spent the last week talking about purpose, haven't we?
Maybe you were looking for a lightning bolt. A grand, once-in-a-lifetime revelation that changes everything in a blink.
But here’s the truth I’ve learned: Purpose isn’t a destination you arrive at. It’s the way you walk today.
It’s in how you treat the cashier. How you pray over your coffee. How you show up when you’d rather stay in bed. It’s a daily, messy, beautiful walk with the One who called you.
If you feel like you’ve been standing still, it’s okay. Just take the next step.
I put together a 3-Step Guide to Deepening Your Faith to help you get moving again. It’s about recovering your peace and your identity so you can serve from a place of true purpose.
You can grab it over at coachtonymartin.com.
Let's keep walking together.

Comparison is easily the loudest noise in the world today.
It’s a constant hum in the background, telling us we aren’t far enough, fast enough, or "holy" enough compared to the person in the next lane. But here’s the thing, God didn’t call you to run their race. He called you to yours.
When I finally stop looking out the side windows to see who’s passing me and just focus on the path He’s put right in front of me... man, the peace that rushes in is incredible. It’s not about being the best; it’s about being exactly where He wants you. Your lane might be quieter, or it might be a bit of an uphill climb right now, but it’s yours. And that’s where you’ll find Him.
How are you silencing the noise today?

I’ve spent plenty of years running on a treadmill that wasn't plugged into anything. I was busy, I was tired, and frankly, I was a bit of a pill to be around. When you’re disconnected from your God-given purpose, every person in your life starts looking like a speed bump. You love 'em, sure, but they’re "in the way" of the next big thing you’re trying to white-knuckle into existence.
But here’s what I’ve learned: when you finally settle into the identity God has for you, your perspective on people flips. You stop seeing your spouse, your kids, or that chatty neighbor as distractions. You start seeing them as the primary mission field.
Knowing your calling doesn't just change what you do at the office; it changes how you hold your grandbabies and how you listen to a friend who's hurting. You aren't serving out of a sense of "should" anymore; you're serving from an overflow of peace.
Purpose isn't just about where you're going. It's about how you treat the people walking next to you.
How are you showing up for your people today?

Ever feel like you’ve run a marathon by 5 PM, but you can’t actually point to anything that moved the needle?
We tend to wear "busy" like a badge of honor. We check the boxes, answer the emails, and keep the plates spinning. But there’s a massive difference between being busy and being effective.
When you don’t have a clear sense of purpose, every single demand on your time looks like a priority. You’re stuck in a cycle of reacting to the loudest noise. But when you understand the mission God has placed on your life, your "yes" gets stronger and your "no" gets a whole lot easier.
Purpose acts as a filter. It takes that chaotic, overwhelming "to-do" list and turns it into a focused daily mission. It's the difference between a boat tossing in the waves and a ship set on a steady course.
Stop spinning your wheels just to stay in the same place. Let’s get clear on where He’s calling you so you can start moving with intention.

It’s early. Just me, a lukewarm cup of coffee, and the quiet of the porch before the rest of the world starts making demands.
Life’s been hitting pretty hard lately, hasn’t it? Maybe for you, it’s a job that feels like a dead end, or a relationship that’s fraying at the edges. When those storms roll in, it’s easy to feel like you’re just a cork bobbing in the ocean, at the mercy of every wave.
But here’s the thing about purpose. It’s not just a nice idea for a Sunday morning: it’s an anchor.
When you have a clear sense of what God has called you to do, your daily resilience changes. You aren't just "getting through" the day; you’re standing firm because you know where you’re headed. Resilience isn’t about being "tough" in your own strength. It’s about being so deeply anchored in your God-given identity that the wind can howl all it wants, but it can’t move you.
If you’re feeling a bit adrift today, take a second. Breathe. Remember whose you are and why you’re here. That’s where the strength to stay standing comes from.

Ever feel like your calendar is just a list of things you said "yes" to because you felt bad saying "no"? I’ve been there more times than I care to admit, y'all. We fill our days with "good" things, only to realize we’ve left no room for the "God" things.
When you finally get clear on the purpose He’s placed on your life, something shifts. Your calendar stops being a cage and starts being a tool. Purpose acts like a filter. Suddenly, you aren't just deciding between a good option and a bad one; you’re deciding between what’s busy and what’s meaningful.
Knowing your "why" gives you the backbone to say a gracious "no" to the distractions so you can give a wholehearted "yes" to the calling. It’s not about doing more; it’s about doing what matters. It’s about stewardship of the time He’s given us.
What’s one thing on your schedule today that doesn’t quite fit the filter of your calling? Let's talk about it in the comments.

Ever wake up and feel like you're already behind before your boots even hit the floor?
We’ve all been there: the 'survival mode' cycle. It’s that feeling of just trying to make it to the next cup of coffee without losing your temper or your mind. But what if the way we look at Tuesday mornings is all wrong?
See, when you get clear on the purpose God’s actually carved out for you, the whole game changes. You stop surviving the day and start serving the day. It’s a shift from 'What do I have to get through?' to 'Who does God want me to impact today?'
It doesn’t mean the laundry folds itself (believe me, I’ve tried praying over the hamper), but it does mean that even the mundane stuff starts to carry some weight.
Over the next few days, I want to talk about the 'Daily Difference' of purpose. This is Part 1 of 7, so stick with me. We're moving from just existing to actually walking in what He called us to do.
Y'all ready to stop just surviving?

Well y’all, we’ve come to the end of this little journey together. Over the last seven days, we’ve talked about what it looks like to move from where you are to where you know God is calling you to be.
It isn’t always a straight line, and it’s rarely easy. There are mornings when that calling feels more like a heavy weight than a holy invitation, and the temptation to just stay comfortable is real. But there is a specific kind of peace: a deep-down, soul-level quiet: that only comes when you stop running from your purpose and start walking toward it.
If you’re feeling that tug on your heart to step into your next phase, don’t ignore it. I’ve put together a 3-Step Guide to Deepening Your Faith specifically to help you bridge that gap and recover your voice and identity in Him.
You can download it right now at coachtonymartin.com. Let’s stop settling for "good enough" and start pursuing the life He’s already prepared for us. It’s time to move.

I used to think I could muscle through everything on my own. Just me, my Bible, and enough coffee to power a small city. I figured if I just worked harder or prayed longer, I’d figure it all out.
But here’s the truth I had to learn the hard way: God never designed us to be lone rangers.
Look at Scripture. Even the giants of faith had a circle. Paul had Barnabas. Moses had Aaron to hold up his arms when he got weary. We were built for relationship and, frankly, we need each other to stay on track.
Sometimes we get stuck because we’re just too close to our own mess to see the way out. That’s where biblical community and coaching come in. It’s about having someone who can see the blind spots you can't, pray with you when the road gets steep, and remind you of who God says you are when you’ve flat-out forgotten.
You weren't meant to carry the weight of your calling by yourself. There’s power in having a brother walk alongside you.
If you’re tired of spinning your wheels alone, let’s change that. My 3-Step Guide is designed to help you find that initial clarity. You can find it at coachtonymartin.com.

Ever notice how the moment you finally say "yes" to where God’s calling you, the wind starts blowing a little harder?
It’s one of those dry ironies of the spiritual life. You get your heart right, you commit to that next step, and suddenly fear shows up at your door like an uninvited guest. You start questioning if you heard Him right or if you’ve got what it takes.
But here’s some common-sense encouragement for y'all: Resistance usually isn't a sign that you’re lost. More often than not, it’s a sign that you’re finally heading in the right direction. If you weren’t moving toward something meaningful, the enemy wouldn’t bother trying to trip you up.
Don't let the fear of the next step rob you of the peace God already promised. Take the step, even if your hands are shaking. He’s already in the future waiting for you.
