Please join us in welcoming Austin Wilbanks as our new Assistant Principal at Brandon Middle School!

Mr. Wilbanks brings 16 years of experience in education, coaching, and leadership to BMS. A Mississippi State alumnus (and former Bulldog football player!), he spent the last two years as Assistant Principal at Pearl Upper Elementary. Austin, his wife Rachael, and their three boys love the Brandon community and are thrilled to join the BMS family.

We are incredibly excited to welcome Mr. Wilbanks to our leadership team for the 2026–2027 school year!

BMS had a special guest stop by last week to play basketball before his show at Brandon Amphitheater! 🎶 ✨

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Leah McCullum as Assistant Principal at Brandon Middle School. Dr. McCullum is an educational leader with over 20 years of experience and also currently serves as an adjunct professor at Belhaven University. She brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in building positive school culture, fostering meaningful relationships, and supporting both students and staff. We are excited for the addition of Dr. McCullum to the leadership team at BMS and look forward to the impact she will have on our students, staff, and community during the 2026-2027 school year!

This award highlights the power of collaboration between our school and our 25-26 Community Partners as we continue to create meaningful opportunities for our students. ⭐

Congratulations to BMS 8th Grader, Rachel Alexander, for being recognized by the Rankin County School Board this week for earning 1st in the state in FFA Extemporaneous Speaking!
