π Strong leadership and strong literacy instruction go hand in hand. During a session at the Mississippi Association of Secondary School Principals (MASSP) Summer Conference, Dr. Melissa McCray, Brittany Lindley, and Mary Margaret Tuttle highlighted the powerful connection between leadership, instructional practices, and student achievement.
Their presentation explored how school leaders can foster high-quality literacy instruction by building trust, providing job-embedded professional learning, and maintaining a steadfast focus on student success. Through intentional leadership and support for teachers, schools can create the conditions where both educators and students thrive.
