It's a Win-Win: Global School Brooklyn & The World Cup!
At Global School Brooklyn, our community spans cultures, languages, and countries from around the world. To celebrate that diversity—and just in time for World Cup fever—parent and GSB board member Tiziana Haug designed a unique collection of national soccer team shirts inspired by the many nations represented in our school community.
It's a fun way to cheer on your team, spark conversations, and support GSB at the same time. Every purchase helps fund school programs and enrich the experience of our students: globalschoolbrooklyn.org/shop
PS: if your nationality has been misrepresented or not represented at all, please let us know. We apologize in advance!

At Global School Brooklyn, we are committed to empowering students to become aware, engaged, and committed to making a difference in the world they live in. When a group of middle school students expressed interest in starting a Q***r Straight Alliance (QSA), we were proud to help support them as they turned their idea into reality.
Through regular meetings, students discuss topics such as q***r representation and visibility in the media as well as explore ways to foster an even more welcoming and inclusive school community. Recently, they organized an outing to the annual Brooklyn Pride Twilight Parade to show their support for New York’s amazing and vibrant LGBTQIA+ community. 🌈✨

Our afterschool Rock Band program brings together students who share a passion for music. They explore songwriting and composition while developing their skills in singing and playing a range of instruments.
This year The Diamond Cats, our student band, and The Diamond Dads, a group of GSB dads, teamed up for a fun-filled concert for students, parents and teachers!

Swiss Read Aloud Day is an annual initiative in Switzerland to promote reading and encourage people of all ages to share stories by reading aloud to others. This year, Frau Pulfer and a few GSB parents joined our students to read Der Grüffelo (The Gruffalo) in Swiss German.
It was a wonderful day for students to experience Swiss German language and culture through storytelling, arts and crafts, and music. 🇨🇭

Our annual Spirit Week gave students plenty of opportunities to express themselves and show off their school spirit!
Thanks to themes selected by our Student Government, students traveled back to the '80s, dressed as twins, came to school in pajamas, and got creative for Anything But a Backpack Day. What a fun week at GSB!

Did you know our staff is full of talented artists? 🎨
For our latest team outing, we spent the evening creating our own version of a NYC Starry Night. Take a look at our painters hard at work and keep an eye out for a special appearance from P*k P*k! 🦔

Change can feel big for any student, but our Kindergarten Transition Breakfast helps make the move to Grade 1 a little more exciting! Our kindergarteners spent the morning with their Grade 1 buddies to learn what the next year would have in store for them.
They started the day with mini lessons in English and German before enjoying breakfast together on the terrace and getting to know each other a little better.

Our community is full of current, future and past GSB parents. This year's "Parents Night Out" at L'Antagoniste was a night full of good food, good drinks, and good company. And our regular Coffee & Pastries mornings show that our families not only care about their children's education, but they also like to have fun!

We were honored to welcome former DFB-Frauen player and manager Steffi Jones, along with members of German Consulate General New York, to GSB!⚽
Our students were fascinated to hear about her journey in soccer, including her 111 appearances with the national team, her experiences growing up as a biracial athlete, and the lessons she learned throughout her career. They were especially excited to pick up a few soccer tips and get their German jerseys autographed! 🇩🇪
