🍋‍🟩 Lime stamping fun! 🎨
We turned limes into paintbrushes and created some amazing artwork! The children explored the color green, patterns, and textures while strengthening their fine motor skills and creativity through process art.
One of the best parts of play-based learning is discovering that everyday items can become tools for learning and fun. The unique shape and texture of the limes made some pretty cool prints!
We may just have to make it our mission to try ALL of the citrus fruits this summer and see which one makes the best stamp. 🍋🍊🍋‍🟩 Which citrus fruit do you think we should try next?

I just want to say THANK YOU to all of my amazing daycare families! ❤️ Your trust, support, and loyalty over the past two years have meant the world to me. Watching your little ones learn, grow, and thrive has been such a blessing, and I am incredibly grateful to be a part of their journey.

We like to slow down, kick off our shoes, and spend some time getting grounded with our bare feet in the grass while enjoying a cool treat. 🌱🦶💚

We believe childhood should be filled with simple joys, fresh air, and opportunities to connect with nature. Sometimes the best learning happens when we’re just being kids—feeling the grass between our toes, listening to the birds, and sharing a sweet summer memory with friends. ☀️🍧

The kids are OBSESSED with our new Air Toobz! 💨🧡
Not only are they insanely fun, but they are also AMAZING for learning through play! These interactive tubes help encourage:�🧠 Problem solving & critical thinking�🤲 Fine motor skills�👫 Teamwork & social interaction�🔬 Cause & effect learning�✨ Creativity & imagination
The kiddos have been working together to build tunnels, test different pathways, and launch colorful balls through the tubes nonstop today! Watching them experiment, communicate, and cheer each other on has been so fun. 🥹
We believe children learn best through hands-on play experiences that spark curiosity and excitement, and these definitely passed the test! 💛
☀️ Growing happy minds one rascal at a time ☀️

Our little explorers have been especially interested in insects lately, and for good reason! We have our very own caterpillars 🐛 in daycare, and the children have been fascinated watching them grow and change each day.

Today, we took our curiosity outdoors with magnifying glasses in hand to search for insects and other tiny treasures in nature. The kids carefully examined leaves, looked for bugs, and practiced using their observation skills just like real scientists! 🔍🍃

There’s something so special about seeing the world through the eyes of a child. Every leaf, bug, and tiny movement becomes an exciting discovery for these “rascals”.

The milestones I get to celebrate with each kiddo. The laughter, the learning, the hugs, the friendships that form, and watching these sweet babies grow into amazing little humans with the biggest hearts. I get to watch their personalities bloom, their confidence grow, and their friendships turn into something truly special.

Two years ago, I built Rachael’s Rascals from nothing in less than 30 days. But this was never just me.

This was my kids helping with crafts, cleaning and sanitizing, setting up the night before, helping with yard work, and supporting this dream every step of the way. You all have met my boss, Rosie, she loves daycare just as much as I do and thinks every daycare kid is her best friend.

As a single mom, this recognition means so much more than an award, a milestone, or a successful business. It means my children have had a front-row seat to what hard work looks like. They've watched me show up day after day, even on the hard days. They've seen consistency, determination, sacrifice, and perseverance in real time.

This is so much more than my job. This is something I built with my own two hands while raising my children. Being a "mom-trepreneur" is one of the things I am most proud of, and I hope my kids are proud too.

More than anything, I hope they grow up knowing they can accomplish anything they set their minds to. I hope they dream bigger than I ever did, work harder than I ever have, and become a billion times more successful than me. If this journey teaches them that they are capable of building a life they love, then every sleepless night and every challenge has been worth it.

This recognition comes at such a special time: right before our 2-year anniversary and Parent Appreciation Day. It feels like the perfect reminder of why I started this journey in the first place.

And this year brings another milestone that means the world to me. I have a daycare “baby” who has been with me from the very beginning all the way to kindergarten. She started with me at another daycare, transitioned with me to Rachael's Rascals, and now she's heading off to kindergarten. 💖Jade 💝

That is truly the icing on top of a very special daycare cake.

🐛🦋 Exciting things are happening for our Rascals!

Our butterfly kit arrived, and the children have been absolutely fascinated watching our caterpillars crawl around and grow. This hands-on experience is a wonderful opportunity for the kids to learn about nature, life cycles, patience, and observation.

We can't wait to watch these little caterpillars transform into beautiful butterflies over the coming weeks! The excitement in the classroom is contagious, and the children are already checking on them throughout the day.
