Moving is happening! 📦

This is not a drill. Costumes moved. Mirrors and barres down. Now to start getting the new studio ready for dancers.

Just a reminder that our Toddler N’ Me, Adult tap, and summer stretch classes will be held at our old studio through June 15th.

Behind every moment on stage is a whole lot of work behind the scenes. 🖌️

While dancers rehearse under the lights, there’s also an incredible amount of preparation happening behind the curtain to bring Elements in Motion to life.

From painting backdrops and building props to organizing costumes, creating schedules, editing music, and preparing all the little details — so many hands help make the magic happen. ❤️

These backdrops may look like paint and plywood right now… but next week they’ll become part of the world our dancers step into on stage. 🌎🔥💨💧

We are so grateful for the teachers, staff, and families who pour so much time and heart into creating this experience for our dancers. The show is about so much more than the performance itself — it’s about the teamwork, creativity, and community that make it possible.

This week is full of important rehearsals, pictures, excitement, and lots of memories in the making. Please make sure to:

✔️ Review the schedule again for our Dress Rehearsal time.
✔️Arrive on time and performance-ready
✔️ Bring all costumes, shoes, tights, and accessories
✔️ Double-check hair and makeup requirements
✔️ Review schedules carefully before arriving
✔️ Come ready to cheer on and encourage one another

This is where all the hard work starts coming together, and we cannot wait to see these dances shine on stage on Saturday! 🌎🔥💨💧

At Canyon Dance Academy, we are grateful for the freedoms we enjoy because of their sacrifice. As we spend time with family and friends this Memorial Day, we pause to reflect on the courage, service, and selflessness of those who made it possible.

Senior Sunday ❤️🎓

Today we celebrate our FOUR graduating seniors — Elliott, Lily, Max, and Sawyer — who officially graduated high school this last week and will take the stage one final time as CDA seniors with their solos in Elements in Motion next week. ✨

It’s hard to put into words how proud we are of these dancers. Many of them have grown up in our studios — from tiny dancers in oversized costumes to the incredible young adults they are today. We’ve watched them work hard, overcome challenges, build friendships, grow in confidence, and become leaders within our studio family.

This season feels especially bittersweet. Seniors always leave a little hole in our hearts. 💔 But the beautiful thing about dance is that it becomes part of who you are forever.

Once a CDA dancer, always a CDA dancer.
Once a dancer, always a dancer. ❤️

Dance has a way of staying with you — in your confidence, your discipline, your creativity, your friendships, and the way you move through life. We cannot wait to see where life takes each of you and how your stories continue to unfold.

Thank you for letting us be part of your journey. We love you, we are proud of you, and we’ll be cheering you on long after your final bow. ✨🎭
