🎲✨ Sensorial Games at Violeta = learning that feels like play! ✨🎲

Montessori sensorial games are so much fun, and they are doing real work underneath the giggles. As children move, they continue refining their coordination, balance, and control. They also practice holding information in their memory, following sequences, and staying focused, which helps consolidate what they have already learned.

And because we are a bilingual community, these games are a wonderful way to reinforce the language we use in the classroom. Repeating key words in meaningful, joyful moments helps new vocabulary “stick” and become part of the child’s everyday language. 🌿🧠💛

In this picture, after practicing with the braiding frame, two friends in our classroom chose to braid each other’s hair — turning a lesson into connection. 💕 What began as skill-building became collaboration, creativity, and friendship.

At Violeta Montessori Children’s House, children explore the four operations through collective math games using beautiful, concrete Montessori materials. Working with large numbers becomes exciting and meaningful when children collaborate, take turns, explain their thinking, and solve problems together.

These shared math experiences support not only strong mathematical foundations, but also social skills, confidence, and joyful learning that carry into future academic work.

We’re excited to invite prospective families to a school tour on February 27 🌿
If you’re considering Violeta Montessori School for your child, we encourage you to apply by January 31 to be considered in the first round. Decision letters will be sent out in early February, with contracts due in early March. After that, we will continue with rolling admissions if spots are still available.

We are currently in the re-enrollment process for our current families, which will wrap up by January 26. After that, we’ll be finalizing the enrollment of new families for the upcoming year.

To our prospective families: If you’ve already applied, we’ll be in touch this week if we haven’t already. If you haven’t applied yet, please do so by January 31.

We’re excited to continue working with some of our current families whose children’s ages are still within Violeta’s range, and we can’t wait to start a new journey with new families! 💜
