This past Saturday, 6/20, we held our 6th annual Global Citizens Seminar! We are deeply grateful to our co-facilitators, Drs. James McCarty and Jason Goulah, and the 10 doctoral students who spent the day with us to discuss the theme, “Becoming Human Together: Hope, Healing, and Justice.” Stay tuned for an in-depth article on the seminar!

Are you ready for next Friday’s Dialogue Nights Lite…?

We are!! This week, Center staff met via Zoom with our two moderators, Cam and Shreya. They are both members of our Ikeda Center Youth Committee (ICYC), and will be using their dialogue skills to guide participants through speed-connecting and reflections. Stay tuned to hear more from them!

30 years ago on this day, Center founder Daisaku Ikeda delivered a speech at Teachers College, Columbia University, titled “Thoughts on Education for Global Citizenship”. In it, Mr. Ikeda describes the core attributes of global citizenship as wisdom, courage, and compassion. He also emphasizes the important role each of us can play in fostering global citizens. As we reflect on this milestone today, we are deepening our commitment to actualize his vision through all of our programs, as well as in our daily lives towards the next 30 years and beyond.
