PROVEN ACADEMICS, EXCELLENT RESULTS
Since 1963, FBS has earned distinction for providing the best in Christian education. Students continually achieve superior results with the traditional approach to teaching and learning they experience at FBS, and parents are amazed each year at how much their children have accomplished. CARING FACULTY
Dedicated, professional, Christian faculty commit themselve
s to helping their students succeed. With classes small enough for each student to receive individual attention, faculty get to know each student and work to develop their potential. ENHANCED LEARNING WITH EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Through participating in music, athletics, and other extracurricular opportunities, students further develop the leadership attributes they've begun to learn about in their classes. Hundreds of students each year strengthen their skills and develop their interests through activities including a full music program, athletics, clubs, speech and drama, and more. AFFORDABLE TUITION
FBS's tuition averages 40% less than other local private and Christian schools in the San Fernando Valley. See the Financial page on our website for more information, and contact us with any questions or to find out about the multiple student discount. PRE-SCHOOL (Ages 2-4)
Faith Baptist Schools preschool for two year olds is now open to our community for enrollment. As a unique gift from God, every child develops differently and at varying degrees of complexity. While it often seems that children develop along some predictable milestones, they may not advance up these steps in the same way or at the same time. The environment and experiences in these early developmental stages of a child’s life greatly influenced who he or she will become. Listed below are a few “widely-held expectations” for what an average two-year-old child might achieve during the year. Our youngest students experience the joy and excitement of an exceptional educational program in a nurturing and stimulating Christian environment. Their God-given talents, dreams, and imaginations are nurtured by highly trained, caring, Christian teachers. The Early Childhood program lays a solid foundation for each child’s learning and spiritual development. It is in these early childhood years that each child learns to read, listen, obey, get along with others, and experience what it means to know and love God.
During our rigorous schedule, students are introduced to Bible, mathematics, language arts, social studies, science, and computer. Throughout Preschool and Kindergarten, your student will receive letter grades and weekly progress reports. ELEMENTARY (Grades 1-6)
Faith Baptist’s Elementary School begins the formal process of building a strong, complete foundation to support a lifetime of growth and learning. Students grow in academic skills, social understanding, biblical knowledge, and independence in studies. Learning occurs in a nurturing, challenging, and affirming Christ-centered environment using instructional methods suited for varied learning styles. Students enjoy a deep and innovative academic program that includes Bible, math, spelling, creative writing, social studies, and science. The elementary program is enriched with music, art, Spanish, band, library skills, computer, science lab, and physical education. Opportunities for differentiated enrichment are available for students who meet the criteria. Critical thinking skills that examine academics and life experiences from a biblical perspective are promoted. All subjects are framed in biblical truth and challenge students to use their God-given abilities to glorify Him. Elementary teachers are highly qualified and participate regularly in professional development opportunities. They embrace a biblical model for instruction and discipline as they instruct and equip students for future service in God’s kingdom. HIGHSCHOOL (Grades 7-12)
Junior High is an exciting time of life! As students are experiencing rapid growth physically and socially, they are also being stretched to grow academically and spiritually. Students are challenged to apply their knowledge, to ask questions about their discoveries, and to look at every discipline and content area through the lens of Scripture. As students are encouraged to think deeply about a variety of issues in a safe and loving environment, a solid biblical worldview begins to emerge.
Classes in Junior High transition from an elementary self-contained model to departmentalized with several teachers, allowing for specialization in the content areas. Core subjects include Bible, history, language arts, mathematics, and science. Additional classes include physical education, health, Spanish, and electives with options in the performing and fine arts, literature, technology, and physical education.
