Nine Cherokee County School District school nurses are attending the Georgia Association of School Nurses (GASN) Conference in Augusta. Through professional learning, networking, and collaboration with school health leaders from across Georgia, our nurses continue to strengthen their knowledge and skills to support the well-being of every student we serve. I spy with my little eye our own Nurse Sandra!

📖 Sequoyah Regional Library System: Summer Discovery
Visit your local library and track your reading to earn rewards, attend special events, complete activities, and enter prize drawings all summer long.

🍕 Pizza Hut: BOOK IT! Program
Families can set reading goals and earn certificates for free Personal Pan Pizzas when goals are met. A fun way to turn reading into a delicious reward!

🎮 Chuck E. Cheese Page Turning Pro Award
Read every day and earn free Chuck E. Cheese rewards! Parents can download a reading tracker and redeem it for free play points.

⚔️ Books-A-Million: Be a Summer Reading Warrior
Read selected books throughout the summer and earn a prize (while supplies last) when you complete the challenge.

📚 Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Challenge (Grades 1–6)
Read eight books, record them in the Barnes & Noble reading journal, and earn a free book from a list of participating titles.

Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Amy Long on being named the new Assistant Principal at Clark Creek Elementary School!

While our administrative team, staff, students, and community are so sad to see her go, we could not be more proud of the incredible leader she is and the lasting legacy she leaves at Avery. Mrs. Long has poured her heart into this school, this staff, and our children, and her impact will continue to be felt for years to come.

Dr. Turner shared, “Amy leads with both excellence and love. She has been a steady source of support, wisdom, and heart for our school community. While we will miss her dearly at Avery, Clark Creek is gaining an exceptional leader who will continue making a difference for children, staff, and families every single day.”
