✨ Throwback Thursday: ZTA Convention Edition ✨

The very first ZTA Convention was held in 1903 on the campus of the State Female Normal School in Farmville, Virginia! Since then, Zetas have continued to gather in celebration of the bonds of sisterhood, leadership, and lifelong friendship that make ZTA so special!

We are proud to celebrate Meghan Parker (Alpha Upsilon Chapter, Oklahoma State University), Zeta Tau Alpha's Chief Executive Officer, for being recognized by Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority with their Alpha Sigma Alpha Presidential Proclamation for her outstanding leadership and initiative in the advancement of women and sorority membership across all 26 NPC organizations through her work on the Amplifying Sorority Campaign Research.

Meghan’s dedication and commitment to strengthening the sorority experience continue to inspire our industry, and we are honored to celebrate both her and this incredible achievement.

With tremendous grief, we mourn the loss of Kate Johnson (Alpha Xi, Indiana University), who passed away Saturday, June 6, 2026, after an almost three-year long battle with cancer.

"To know Kate was to know pure sunshine. She embodied everything Zeta stands for and she left every person and every place better than she found it," shared chapter Vice president Philanthropy & Service Sami Sloan. "Her legacy is not only in what she accomplished, but in the countless lives she touched with her beautiful soul. Kate is truly one of a kind, and we feel entirely blessed getting the privilege to know and love her the way we did. We will always look out for your yellow."

Zeta Tau Alpha sends its deepest sympathies to Kate's family. Visitation will be held Monday, June 15 from 2-8 p.m. at Schrader Funeral Home in Ballwin, MO. Chapters and individuals who wish to offer condolences to Alpha Xi Chapter may send them to International Office.
