This month’s Kids Day celebrates contemporary artist Leonardo Drew, renowned for creating monumental abstract sculptures incorporating a variety of textured materials. Bring the whole family to enjoy hands-on arts-making, interactive storytelling, and creative activations designed for all ages:

🧶 10 am–2 pm | Drop by to experiment with various tactile materials and construct your own unique, abstract sculpture inspired by Leonardo Dre
🎞️ 10 am–2 pm | Participate in a hands-on activity inspired by In Her Own Image, where art, film, and technology converge through creative exploration
🧑‍🎨 11 am–3 pm | Stop by Create Playdate to craft a textured project that plays with shape, form, and surface style

Hi there! Hola! My name is Mary, I’m 47, mom of 3, and passionate about the early years of life.

Fifteen years ago, when my baby girl was born, I opened Casa de Montessori with an emphasis on creating opportunities for children. Social emotional nurturing, muddy hands, slow mornings, learning through doing, respecting children’s natural development, and peaceful days where we hear each other out and think critically to resolve disagreements are part of our everyday.
