Small schools with BIG Communities: El Dorado and Desert Hills conquered Universal Studios and we have some HUGE thanks to give to those that helped make it a success!
When our bus company canceled on us just hours before we were supposed to leave for Universal, we were absolutely devastated. We truly thought the trip was ruined and that all our planning (and excitement!) had gone down the drain for our students. But then, our incredible community stepped in. Because of their quick action and generosity we didn't just make it to Universal Studios, we had the experience of a lifetime.
Our community turned what could have been a disaster into a beautiful reminder of how lucky we are to belong to a community that genuinely cares for one another.
Thank you to everyone who shared our posts, made phone calls, offered rides, and connected us to Avalon Transportation. You didn't just save a trip; you made memories that will last forever. Special thanks to Josh from HUSD and Katey McPherson for rallying everyone together for us. We are so incredibly grateful for each and every one of you!
