Well, do we know about fun, or what!? Today, we officially kicked off a brand-new choice - Camp: D Sumo Squad!
Campers were wrapped with pillows, ties, and oversized hoodies, and officially saw themselves within the ring of Camp: Destination - Sumo Style! Practicing the art of Sumo - using only bodyweight (in our case, stuffed bodyweight) to push a competitor out of the "octagon," we became Sumo Masters in this epic new choice!
Check out some footage from our first day of Sumo Squad here - it's going to be an awesome week ahead!
We want to wish a Happy Father's Day to all the Fathers, Dads, Grandfathers, Uncles, Male Role Models, & Male Caregivers in our Camp: Destination Community - all of whom do so much to support our campers in so many ways!
We hope you have a restful, enjoyable, relaxing, & fulfilling day - and that you know we at Camp: Destination are celebrating you all year long.

WEEK 5 | PALOOZA: DID YA CATCH THAT?
It's our favorite week of the summer! That's right - the Palooza is here, and we cannot wait to film the TWELFTH Installment of everyone's favorite Reality TV Spectacular! In this annual tradition - campers will be working to create & edit their very own Music Videos, each of which will be compiled alongside interviews & footage of camp life to create the Palooza!
All registered families should check their emails for more information related to Week 5 at Camp: Destination, including the Programs, Announcements, & other pieces of relevant information to support a successful week for your camper. If you have any questions or concerns - or wish to add Week 5 to your camper's registration, please reach out to [email protected] or (602)-456-0161 for more information.
Costuming information for the Palooza has been sent out in the Weekly Email. Please note that costumes are encouraged, but by no means required - and families should not purchase costumes or costuming items if they do not have them at home. All campers should wear their 2026 Camp: Destination T-Shirt on Friday, June 26th, for the filming of the all-camp dance!
We'll see you tomorrow for Palooza: Did Ya Catch That?
WEEK 4 L.I.T. RECAP | THE LEVEL UP ARCADE
Do you know about the L.I.T. Program? An acronym for "Leaders-in-Training," the L.I.T. Program works with those entering 10th - 12th Grade to develop leadership skills, while simultaneously fostering cultural development & positive role modeling for all campers within the Camp: Destination Community.
This summer, L.I.T.'s were tasked with determining what their, "Mark of a Leader" would be - after discussing how leaders make a mark & lasting imprint on all spaces which they take the lead of! The 2026 L.I.T.'s chose to start a brand-new tradition - the Weekly Recap, in which they recap all the happenings, events, & excitement of the previous week at Camp: Destination!
Check out this installment of the Weekly Recap overviewing all things about Week 4, also available on the Camp: Destination YouTube Channel & Week 5 Overview Email, and get excited for more, fun-filled, snippet-style recaps of our fun at Camp: Destination!

Yesterday, as a part of our Post Lock-In Programming, we participated in a Special Art Project! Each camper got to choose between a Picture Frame, a Blank Canvas, or a Door Hanger, and use specialty paints & techniques to personalize them into their own!
It was an awesome morning, with some special, calming creations - and some magical art pieces which we know will be kept for a long time to come. Be sure to ask your camper about their project - because let's just say, they turned out AWESOME!

On Wednesday night, we had our first Lock-In of the summer - and wow, we cannot believe it took 12 YEARS to determine an Arcade-Themed Lock-In, because this was one of the BEST in Camp: Destination History!
The Lock-In started off with our 3rd - 5th Grade Campers participating in Immersive Pac-Man & Immersive Streetfighter, whilst our 6th - 9th Grade Campers & L.I.T.'s joined together for The People's Explosion. From there, we played Glow-In-The-Dark, Plants vs. Zombies Dodgeball, Temple Run, and ended the night with our favorite camp game - that only attendees will know how to play (as it was created by Bears in the Neolithic Age...) - concluding with "A Minecraft Movie," featuring Jack Black, we all were certainly glad that we came to such a special event!
While we only snapped a few photos with all the fun we had, the memories certainly prove - this was a Lock-In to remember!
