Happy National Assistant Principal Week to our favorite Assistant Principal, Mrs. Everett! Students and families, if you would like to show your appreciation this week for Mrs. Everett, draw her a picture, write her a nice note, or bring her one of her favorite things! Some of her favorite things are Chic-Fil-A, Snickers, Mentos gum, and the color red!

When asked what she loves about being an assistant principal, she said, “I love being an AP because I get to greet the little faces and welcome them with a smile! The most rewarding part is watching the students grow academically and witnessing their excitement as they master a new concept.”

This week is National School Social Work Week! Let’s celebrate our School Social Worker, Mrs. Z!! When asked about being a School Social Worker this is what she had to say. I became a School Social Worker because of the impact that I made with prior students that I have taught in years past. It was also important to me that I do my best to close the achievement gaps and any other barriers that students and families would encounter.

What I enjoy most about being a School Social Worker are the ways that I am able to support students and families with various resources. Educating students on conflict resolution and social emotional learning. My love for School Social Work grows daily as I watch students learn responsible and safe ways to learn.
