Happy Father’s Day to all the incredible dads from Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Delta Zeta Chapter!

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated honors Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, as an historic moment in American history. On June 19, 1865, news of the Emancipation Proclamation finally reached the last enslaved individuals in Galveston, Texas, marking the true beginning of freedom for all.

We proudly recognize the efforts of our own trailblazing Soror, Opal Lee, the “Grandmother of Juneteenth,” whose unwavering advocacy helped make Juneteenth a federally recognized holiday in 2021.

Today, we celebrate emancipation, reflect on our ancestors’ strength and resilience, and recommit to the work of advancing justice, equity, and unity. Through education, action, and solidarity, we move closer to a world rooted in true freedom for all.

Kelakanesia "Kay" Thompson joined Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. through Delta Zeta Chapter in Fall 2024. She currently serves on the Membership and Community Outreach Committees, where she helps strengthen connections among members and supports the chapter's outreach efforts in the community.

From Girls to Pearls!

There’s nothing more rewarding than watching the seeds we plant blossom into purpose. This week we celebrate with immense pride many of our former Delta Zeta Chapter Youth who have stepped boldly into Finer womanhood and membership in our illustrious sisterhood.

What began as guidance, mentorship, and sisterly love has come full circle and our hearts are full! The future of our sisterhood is bright and our legacy continues.
