Today's Tuesdays in Training spotlight is "Zoning in on Behavior Prevention!" If you have many children with challenging behaviors or seem to be dealing constantly with such behaviors, chances are there is a problem with your program, not with the children. You will probably need to change aspects of your program — that is, the physical environment of the classroom; your schedule and curriculum; and your own attitudes, actions, and reactions. These are prevention strategies (or indirect guidance), which are your most powerful tools for changing challenging behaviors and the focus of this session.
