Daubert is Not Just a Shield - NEW Webinar with Andy Delaney
Daubert isn’t just a shield—it’s a sword. TLC-eligible plaintiff and criminal defense lawyers don’t have to sit back and wait for the usual defense or prosecution Daubert strike. The same gatekeeping rules that have been used for years to attack our experts apply with equal force to theirs.
By mastering Daubert and its progeny (often codified in Rule 702), you can flip the script: expose result-driven opinions, analytical gaps, junk methodologies, and experts wandering outside their lane—then move to exclude or tightly limit that testimony before a jury ever hears it. When your motion lands, the tables turn. Suddenly the hospital has no causation expert, or the state’s star forensic witness is sidelined—or boxed into a tiny corner.
This webinar focuses on how TLC-style story, cross, and emotional truth pair with Daubert’s technical framework to take away the other side’s “science” and put you in the strongest possible trial position.

Restoring Dignity with Lauren Checki and Naomi Jones
What happens when the fight isn’t over a personal injury, but over a family’s home? In this episode of the Trial Lawyers College podcast, Maren Chaloupka welcomes Louisiana attorneys Lauren Checki and Naomi Jones to discuss the deeply human stories behind property and casualty litigation. From hurricanes and flood damage to denied claims and bad-faith insurance practices, they explain how the TLC method transformed the way they investigate cases, connect with clients, and uncover the emotional impact of losing the place people call home. Through powerful examples, they reveal why these cases are about much more than roofs, walls, and repair estimates. They are about families, dignity, and restoring stability after disaster.

TLC is thankful to alum Patrick McLain (TLC ’12) for planning, promoting and presenting back-to-back “Taste of TLC” programs last weekend in Dallas and Tulsa! Patrick was assisted in Dallas by Colby Vokey, Brian Bouffard and Phillip Hall, and in Tulsa by David Hammel.
TLC psychodramatist Jason Hasko traveled from New York City to join both of these fun programs.
Together, these alums introduced trial lawyers in two states to the TLC Method and to the unique connection and support that TLC gives its Warriors.

Trial Lawyers College is proud of alum and faculty member Brady Skinner III (TLC ’15), who obtained acquittals across the board recently in Louisiana for a client charged with attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, attempted manslaughter and aggravated cruelty to an animal.
The case arose from a road rage incident, in which it was undisputed that Brady’s client fired his pistol into the moving vehicle driven by the accuser.
You can read the full account of the case, and of how Brady used the TLC Method to reveal the true story to his jury, in the upcoming issue of The Warrior.
Let’s celebrate a righteous verdict for an innocent man and the brave, creative TLC Warrior who obtained it!

Way to go, Warrior Bret Dunn (TLC ’24), who walked his client out of a Georgia courthouse with an order dismissing charges of murder and use of a firearm to commit a felony!
Bret deployed the TLC Method to discover the self-defense story of the shooting – and to obtain disqualification of not just one, but two prosecutors from the case. Because of Bret’s relentless work, the final prosecutor on the case threw in the towel and moved to dismiss the charges.
