The Gerald G. Fox MPA program hosted a successful Alumni-Student Conference at Center City on November 15. There was excellent networking with outstanding alumni panels on growth in the Charlotte region and the dynamics of the budget/finance function. We are delighted to share that MPA faculty member Suzanne Leland has received the Donald Stone Distinguished Scholar Award from the Section on Intergovernmental Administration and Management (SIAM) at the annual conference of the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA) in Washington, DC on March 8, 2019. This prestigious award, given since 1981, recognizes (1) significant contributions to the practice and/or study of intergovernmental relations over a substantial period of time and (2) contributions that have made an impact on the practice and/or study of intergovernmental management as a whole rather than only on a specific organization, institution, or function.
