本週末是我們中文學校的期末大日子！為了檢驗同學們這一學年來的學習成果，我們特別舉辦了一場超刺激的**「跨齡分組識字造句大賽」
我們打破了年級限制，採用**「混齡分組」**的方式互相抗衡。大哥哥大姐姐帶著弟弟妹妹們一起腦力激盪，不僅考驗識字量，抽到詞彙後還要立刻**現場造句**，真的太考驗臨場反應了！
台下的三位專業評審老師神情認真，嚴格把關每一組的發音與句子結構。看著孩子們為了團隊榮譽全力以赴的樣子，老師和家長們都在台下為他們鼓掌叫好！👏👏
在精采的比賽結束、評審老師們緊張算分的空檔，我們也舉行了溫馨的**結業證書頒發儀式**，記錄下每位同學這一年來的進步與努力。🎓✨
最後……最令人期待的時刻來了！今年的**冠軍組別**憑藉著超強的默契與超群的造句實力脫穎而出，成功贏得了**大紅包獎勵**！🧧💰 恭喜所有獲獎與順利結業的孩子們，你們都是最棒的！

**✨ 【Thrilling End-of-Term Highlights: Chinese Characters Competition & Graduation!】 ✨**
What an incredible weekend at our Chinese School! To celebrate a year of hard work and amazing progress, we wrapped up the term with an absolute blast—our annual **Chinese Character Recognition Contest**!
This year, we shook things up with a **mixed-age team format**. Students of different ages and grades teamed up, working together to conquer the challenges! Not only did they have to recognize difficult Chinese characters, but they also had to **construct sentences on the spot**. Talk about quick thinking under pressure! 🧠⚡️
Our panel of **three expert teacher-judges** watched closely, scoring each team on accuracy, grammar, and creativity. Seeing the older students guide the younger ones while fighting for team glory was truly heartwarming. The energy in the room was electric! 👏👏
While our judges were busy calculating the final scores, we held a meaningful **Graduation Ceremony**, presenting each student with their well-deserved **Course Completion Certificates**. It was a proud moment reflecting on a year of dedication and growth! 🎓✨
And finally... the moment everyone was waiting for! The **Champion Team** blew us away with their incredible teamwork and flawless sentence skills, taking home the ultimate grand prize—**Lucky Red Envelopes (Hongbao)!** 🧧💰
Huge congratulations to the winners and to every single student who graduated today. You are all rockstars! A big thank you to our wonderful teachers and parents for making this event a huge success. See you all next term! ❤️

《發覺孩子冰山下的訊息》

近日工作坊時我們腦力激盪了一些想法，

目地是為了幫助一位不願意好好吃飯的三歲男童A。

他的媽媽H，手上抱著三個月的寶寶，

本來並沒有報名工作坊。

她旁聽了一陣子，

當我問在場哪位家長願意自願來分享家中遇到的挑戰時，

她積極的舉手加入。

A最近吃飯時，種種狀況。

從飯前洗手就開始崩潰，一下說不餓、一下說食物不好吃、一下說要去玩、一下說要去看卡通，

完全沒有要吃飯的意思。

幾乎每天到後來都是在睡前因為太餓而崩潰。

我利用正向教養的工具來引導了H去探索事件發生時她自己的情緒感受，

因而找到孩子反應背後可能隱藏的訊息。

看著H手上的三個月寶寶，再對應A無止盡的需求和不配合，

這一切都合理了起來。

新生兒的來到似乎讓三歲的A動搖了自己的歸屬感。

所有的「不乖」、「表現不好」幾乎都來自於缺乏歸屬感和價值感。

而孩子錯誤的理解著爸媽比較愛妹妹（或嬰兒），

讓他無意識地想舉行不配合運動來引起更多注意力。

這個藏在冰山底下的信念，

其實是問題的根本。

吃飯的問題，

只是冰山上面露出來的表面行為。

但因為它在冰山底下，

就必須花多一點時間來引導。

現場是團體課，

我們就針對吃飯這個眼前的問題來幫她想方法。

在場學員參考了工作坊提供的的資料以及自己的經驗，

總共提出了十三個建議。

我請她從中選出了一個她願意回去嘗試的方法，

她選擇「增加趣味」這個方法。

接著現場學員和Ｈ演練了這個提案。

飾演爸爸的學員在帶孩子洗手時，

提到要和汪汪隊一起去出任務所以要先吃飽，

孩子的好奇心似乎被點起，

彼此間有了對話，

H也感受到氣氛似乎放鬆了一些，

讓為了吃飯問題筋疲力盡的H感到一點希望。

課後，Ｈ表達了感謝，

並說下禮拜要帶先生一起來。

希望這個方法能在解決根本問題前，提供他們一點喘息的空間。

The Charlotte Chinese School will start its Fall 2024 Semester in about 3 weeks on Sept. 7, the Saturday after the Labor Day Weekend!

Charlotte Chinese School concluded its spring semester with the 2024 Chinese Character Recognition Contest. This year, we were very fortunate to have very supportive parents join us and compete alongside the students as a team. We thank everyone for their hard work throughout the year: students, parents, and especially the teachers. Charlotte Chinese School wish everyone a great summer! We will see you in September!
